My name is Mark Titleman. I am a B.A. in History and Political Science from McGill University, a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Concordia University and Dalhousie University, and an M.A. in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from University of Toronto. My research deals with history of science and technology, with some attention given to the history of potential theory in physics focusing on the work of the great mathematician Sir Edmund Whittaker from 1903 and 1904. Of course I was trained as a biochemist as well, and armed with this knowledge and an appreciation for the coming future of artificial intelligence I wish to contribute to an understanding of the relationship between these two fields. I am also very passionate about dogs and athletics, with significant time spent cycling, running, and for many years boxing and gym training.

I am a physicist with a strong background in research, initiated during my undergraduate studies. My interest in material science grew during my postgraduate studies, especially in Crystal Growth. My Master’s in Philosophy expanded my knowledge of organic semiconductors and environmental science, focusing on heavy metal pollution detection. Pre-PhD coursework in electrodeposition enhanced my expertise in transducers, biosensors, and solar cell organo-metallics, laying the groundwork for my doctoral research. As a Junior Scientific Officer, I specialized in crystal growth techniques for materials used in transducers, sensors, detectors, and lasers, while designing strategic growth workstations. Currently, I am a Consultant in research with a Post Graduation in Human Resources Management, addressing societal issues like health and economic upliftment through science and technology. I am also a bilingual poet and science writer, integrating Artificial Intelligence into critical areas like genetics, infection detection, and pandemic prevention.

I am Subhashini Dhayalan, originally from India, with a deep-rooted passion for life sciences that ignited during my higher secondary education. This enthusiasm led me to pursue both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Biochemistry, followed by a core PhD program in Biotechnology. For the past 13 years, I have been dedicated to teaching Molecular Biology, with a particular focus on cellular mechanisms and the genetics that drive them. My academic journey inspired me to author a book aimed at simplifying the complexities of DNA structure and the Central Dogma of molecular biology, making these essential concepts more accessible to students.
Currently, my research is focused on oncology, specifically exploring organic therapies for Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma. I remain committed to staying informed of the latest advancements in science and technology, ensuring that my students are well-prepared for the challenges of the future. In addition to my scientific endeavors, I am passionate about the fine arts, often spending my free time painting and engaging in creative pursuits.
